We are entering our sixth week of our virtual Sunday School, and it has been a blast! We have averaged about 10 kids each week and usually play a couple games, read and review a Bible story, and sing and dance to a few songs. We have currently been going through a series of lessons in which we have been learning obedience to God. Classic stories such as Jonah and Ninevah, the Tower of Babel, and Gideon of the Benjamites have helped us learn about what it looks like (or doesn't look like) to obey God. Each week I also try to find a Veggie Tales-esque video on YouTube related to our weekly lesson to share with the kids, as well as a craft idea that they can do on their own.
I have really loved my time with the kids and often share lots of laughs and smiles during our hour together on Sunday's. Although the class via Zoom is not ideal, I have enjoyed how it has stimulated my creativity to create new ways to engage and interact with the kids.
